Na een stijging van dierenverlating, vragen we uw aandacht en dringen we er op dat huisdieren het coronavirus niet op de mens overdragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coronavirussen komen ook voor bij honden en katten, maar ze zijn niet gekoppeld aan de huidige COVID-19 coronavirusepidemie en zijn dus niet overdraagbaar op de mens. De Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) bevestigt dat er geen bewijs is dat huisdieren een rol spelen in de verspreiding van het nieuwe coronavirus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

De opvangplaatsen zijn spijtig genoeg overvol, er is dus geen reden om uw huisdier naar een dierenarts of een opvangcentrum te brengen voor euthanasie of achterlating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hieronder volgen toch enkele tips, louter uit voorzorg<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

🐾 Contact met mond en neus moet worden vermeden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

🐾 Na elk uitstapje is het raadzaam om de voetkussentjes van uw huisdier te reinigen met milde zeep(zeker geen<\/strong> hydro-alcoholische gels, dethol of bleekmiddel, omdat deze ernstige brandwonden kunnen veroorzaken bij uw vierpotige vrienden).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

🐾 Was uw handen voor en na het aaien van uw huisdier of als iemand anders uw huisdier heeft geaaid. Hetis beter om uw huisdier op dit moment niet te laten aaien door andere mensen, omdat uw huisdier kan dienen als een passieve overdrager van het virus tussen mensen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
